We really believe in offering you top quality eye care and taking our time to do it properly. Rest assured that if there are any problems, we will spot them. Firstly, you’ll be asked some questions about your overall eye health, family history and any changes in your vision since your last check-up.
You’ll then have a series of checks using the latest, advanced eye care technology. As well as diagnosing if you need help with your vision, we’ll check your eyes for signs of serious eye conditions, such as glaucoma or macular degeneration.
Our Ballymoney and Coleraine practices now have as an OCT scanner, which is used by the Optometrist to assess more parts of the eyes than ever before. This new technology is allowing us to look after you even better by detecting change earlier. Our Garvagh practice has a digital retinal camera, which again allows us to monitor changes over time and save an image of your retina on your personalised record.
Did you know your eye exam could also flag up other medical conditions– like high blood pressure, risk of stroke and even some brain tumours. We’ll look for any signs of these, as part of our routine examination of your eyes.
